Since that day in the upper room, the Lord’s Supper has anchored the spiritual life of the New Testament church. Unfortunately, today New Testament worship and the Lord’s Supper are being neglected more than ever before. Strangely absent among true Christians are the spiritual disciplines of reverence, heartfelt praise, and the exaltation of Christ. However, the New Testament charges us, “worship God in the spirit and rejoice in Jesus Christ” (Phil. 3:3). The goal of this book is to call Christians back to the heart of worship and the doctrines of the Lord’s Supper.
